Product Description

As part of Fender’s “Tele-Bration”, commemorating 60 years of Telecasters, Fender has launched a special run of 12 Telecaster models; each with its own distinguishing characteristics. These guitars will stay inside the Telecaster’s famously elegant lines while offering the finest and most unusual takes on the instrument’s past, present and future.

Fender experimented with a rosewood Telecaster design in the late 1960s. A very few of the exceptionally heavy guitars were produced, most famously the one played by George Harrison at the Beatles’ famed “rooftop concert” of Jan. 30, 1969, in London. The new Lite Rosewood Telecaster evokes that elusive instrument and greatly lightens the weight by sandwiching a dark-stained spruce body core between a rosewood top and back.
