I play old tube amps, alt country and blues stuff - honestly I don't think I have ever owned a solid state amp - I've been playing for over 30 years.
I bought this for my 10 year old son who has been learning guitar for 1 year. He uses it a bit and likes noodling around with the supplied loops. The "over the top" preset sounds for him are exciting and good fun.
I also have a few backing track CDs of blues and rockabilly stuff that I never really use! One day I mucked around and loaded these backing tracks onto the amp (which was pretty easy - even for me).
WOW - now I have over 50 tracks of rootsy rock and roll stuff to practice to. I can dial up a pretty good clean tone with a bit of slap-back delay and happily play along to them for hours!
Also... I had a run of country gigs where I had to learn 25 songs. Again I loaded them up to the amp from my computer and BAMM - I've got the set to practice and learn.
I'd say this is a great product that I highly recommend to anyone - load up your style of backing tracks and wail away. It can be totally customised to your style of playing.

Just saw a demo of this by James Ryan at Concpet & it is freakin incredible. I knew it was a great sonding amp but didn't realise it had all that recoding & editing software that comes with it! LOVE the sound card to record onto too.

These amps are great. I have a few old tube amps but these sound good too. The loops are played by real musicians and sound great.
This is the best practice tool I have bought in years for my guitar playing.
