They are usually very reliable when new although the top note or two can be off key.
They lend themselves to attractive Wah Wah effects and I enjoy the chord train sounds.
Some last much longer than others, given the same use. I find the Brazilian Herings/Charlie Musselwhites are more suited to being washed in cold water with no harmful effects. I have had Hohners crack but their superior tone makes the risk worthwhile.
