VALUE! And back in stock at last! The Mahalo is easily the best playing & sounding "coloured" ukulele for getting started on. Tunes up very well & sounds great. Price includes a matching vinyl bag!

I was wondering if i wanted to learn to play a ukelele and join the ukelele club near my house and I got this as a cheap tester. It is fantastic. I can carry it everywhere without worrying about it getting damaged, and the bonus was if I sucked at the uke I was out of pocket less than the cost of a record. (The tuner I just bought for it cost more than the uke) Now that I'm into playing and I've heard the 'good' ukes in the club I can see there are much better sounding instruments than this little purple uke, but it was a wonderful way to get into the instrument, and it will find a loving home with my brother as I upgrade to a better one. Give the screws on the tuning keys a good tighten, get ready to tune it fairly regularly (this will set you back a minute or so) and play.

I bought one of these for a friend as a bit of a joke thinking for $29 it would really just be a toy but it's actually really good! It actually tunes up & you can play it! The strings are a bit crappy (I would recommend changing them for Aquila strings instead... admittedly that would cost an extra $15 but it's still worth it) but it's the only "cheap" uke I've tried that you can actually play! Awesome value.

The one I bought goes out of tune easily. A nice cheap entry to ukulele; great fun to play with, but frustrating to have to re-tune it every 20 minutes. I'll try an Aria when I get a better feel for this funny little instrument. :)
