These djembes are kiln dried shell with up to 20 coats of teak oil to protect and preserve the wood. It has an authentic goat skin head, with low-stretch alpine rope with braided cores. I got the shoulder bag with this one, and the tone is awesome.
I had to get some help tuning it slightly as they sometimes slacken off in time, and it sounds really good now. also get yourself some skin conditioner if you can to keep the skin moist, helps with tuning stabilty
