Loading... Please wait...NEW! Zoom has gone back to basics with this latest handheld audio recorder. As delightfully basic as it could go. The Zoom H1 is a twin X/Y stereo recorder that does 24-bit / 96-kHz audio at an unheard-of price! With 10 hours of battery life on a single AA cell, up to 32GB of removable microSDHC storage and loads of physical controls, it already feels like an obvious choice for recording your guitar noodlings, for students, journalists and the like. Incredibly good value & so easy to use. The H1 is Zoom’s smallest recorder to date but nothing is sacrificed for its size. It also packs a track marker and auto record function, as well as level and volume controls. You can feed the H2 32GB SHDC cards for up to 50 hours of recording. RRP$199

I bought this to record from my Mixing Desk to review gigs and it does an amazing job. I usually record in WAV format (for ease of slpitting later). Using a 4 gb which it gives over 6 hr of record time, enough to just set it and leave it for the whole gig. Quality of the recording is excellent.
I tried it in MP3 format and at 128Kb it is not as good as WAV but it is OK, the up side is over 60 hours of record time.
Using the built in Microphones I have recorded Choir rehearsals for reviewing later and the quality, while not as good as the line in, is still very good.

I bought this expecting it to sound only just OK for the price actually, at 150 bucks I thought it would probably sound like crap!). BUT I gotta say it's fantastic... awesome quality! Keep it up Zoom!
