The Yamaha YFL-471 features a solid sliver head, body and footjoint.  It has open hole keys & an offset G key with split E mechanism... an ideal choice for the serious student.  The ring keys sound more open and also force the use of good technique as well as offering some special effects for the jazz enthusiast. The split E mechanism makes playing in tune in the upper register easier and the improved head joint design, coupled with solid silver construction, give it a much richer & darker tone than silver plate student models.
